I grew up in a small town in Vermont and it is there that my interest in photography began as I wandered around my family's land taking pictures of the beautiful space I was fortunate enough to call home. Eventually my interest in nature photography transitioned into photojournalism, as I realized photographing people and telling their stories is where my passion lies. I am so grateful to those who have given me the ability to do so over the years by graciously opening up their lives.
I am a graduate of Boston University's photojournalism program and was photo editor of the college's independent student-run newspaper, The Daily Free Press. I spent my final year at BU as a photography intern at the Harvard Gazette and for the Boston Red Sox. After college I moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for an internship that quickly turned into a full-time position as a photojournalist at KCRG-TV. From Iowa, I had the opportunity to move closer to home and work first for WHDH-TV as a freelance photographer and editor and then WFXT-TV as a photojournalist in Boston, Massachusetts. Currently, I am a freelance photojournalist based in Vermont and available for assignment.
